We who live at The Priory would like to tell you about our comfortable retirement accommodation in the peaceful Devon countryside.

The former Augustinian Priory, a splendid listed building, sensitively restored, is at the heart of the scheme. Further apartments are in the newly built Priory Court, shown in the second picture on this page, and there are seven traditional-style cottages which have been converted from the original farm buildings.

We all enjoy the benefits of independent living in an established community with exceptional amenities and services. The forty-three apartments and cottages vary in size and layout but they all provide spacious and elegant accommodation. Most have two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Sitting rooms generally have French windows opening onto a paved terrace or balcony, and the seven cottages all have small private gardens. Kitchens are fully fitted with oak units, usually with built-in ovens, microwave and hob, extractor hood, waste disposal unit and refrigerator/freezer. Fitted wardrobes are provided in the main bedrooms.

This web site is managed by residents as an informal guide to the Priory and our lifestyle.
